Mission Statement
St. Stan’s Cares is a volunteer ministry inspired to serve our Lord and community through service, prayer, and almsgiving. Mary gave birth to her Son, and she immediately wrapped Jesus in swaddling clothes (Lk 2:7), and thereby cared for his physical needs. At St. Stan's Cares, we look to Mary as an example of caring for others.
What does St. Stan's Cares do?
The group was founded to support three pillars at St. Stanislaus Kostka. The first pillar, logistical support, will assist the parish and school by offering help to various events and tasks such as mass set up / take down, weddings, funerals, fundraisers, parish events, ad-hoc parish office tasks / organization, and any other occasions where aid may be needed. The second pillar, fellowship, is to foster a sense of community at St. Stanislaus Kostka. St Stan’s Cares will grow the parish community through hosting various events for parishioners and students alike such as coffee and donuts after mass, fundraising events, and coordination with other parish ministries. The last pillar, personal support, will assist parishioners and school families during times of need such as illness, death, or the birth of a new child. St. Stan’s Cares can help facilitate service coordination with the parish, provide home-cooked meals, as well as offer intercessory prayer and other support.
