Fast/Abstinence: Good Friday is an obligatory day of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. 

The norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 to 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Rite of the Church - binding on Roman Catholics from the age of 14 and older. (USCCB)

A plenary indulgence is granted to all who take part in the prayers and devotions held in honor of The Divine Mercy or, who, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament exposed or reserved in the tabernacle, recite the Our Father and the Creed, adding a devout prayer to the merciful Lord and satisfy the usual conditions which include sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer for the intentions of the Pope within 7 days of Divine Mercy Sunday, the 2nd Sunday of Easter.
